Hi Chelsea,
Tom and I had a little fire In our eclectic little fire pit in honor of Miles. It is an old washing machine drum. I highly recommend them as fire pits although they are not easy to free from the machine.
We also watched Jupiter and Saturn kiss and I thought of Miles coming back around to say “hello”. It was a gorgeous night, 53 degrees here in Sarasota, Florida.
I remember when I first visited Colorado and met you. One morning we got to talking about loss and particularly the loss of young people, my friend Nate and your sister Natasha. I asked you how you carried on? You said it was damn hard but you always carried her light with you. You explained how we each carry lanterns of light and that we can hold others and pass them on when they leave this world.
I may only have an ember of Miles’ light for I only met him once but I do feel like I know him. The silly, so silly stories AnneMarie has shared tell me of a fun-loving, intelligent, goofy, quirky little guy who loved to laugh and play. This is how I will always know Miles.
We love you so much, Chelsea. We consider you family, always. Please reach out for anything you need.
Love and hugs,
Allison Lewis
